Regional Sales Manager

Ouriginal is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to expand its North American Sales Team.  The Regional Sales Manager will report directly to the President, North America, and will be pivotal in leading, developing and supporting new sales within the eastern region of the United States.  The ideal candidate is effective at building relationships, utilizing a consultative selling approach and working in a fast-paced agile environment.  This role’s primary objectives are to meet or exceed new sales goals within the assigned geographical region, that drive impact, revenue and scale for Ouriginal.



Experience & Skills

  • A minimum of 6 years of direct sales experience selling enterprise software to mid-size to large enterprises (required).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced agile environment, set priorities and work independently.
  • Possesses deep understand of financial issues, including forecasting, pricing models, progress towards goal and customer satisfaction models.
  • Knowledge of consultative sales approach and selling techniques.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills.
  • Highly flexible and ability to embrace change.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce, Pardot).
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales goals and recognized success in negotiating and closing new business.
  • This position is based within the United States and requires travel to partner, customer and corporate office within the United States (up to 35%) and Sweden.



  • Identify, analyze and create new business opportunities, alliances and relationships in consultation with the President.
  • Create and execute strategies for developing a robust pipeline of qualified sales opportunities to meet or exceed revenue goals.
  • Provide market feedback from partners and customers to appropriate internal teams (e.g. Product, Marketing, Operations) for future product enhancements.
  • Attend or participate in regional and national industry conferences as needed.
  • Stay abreast of best practices within the Higher Education market and monitor competitor products, sales and marketing activities.
  • Manage and maintain travel and expense budget.
  • Ability to work with different people within an entrepreneurial and start-up environment, and build rapport with a wide range of colleagues, partners and customers.
  • Demonstrate patience and empathy while interacting with all partners and customers.


Educational Requirements

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in business, education or a related field required.
  • 6-8 years field sales or similar experience.
